Using wheat berries
    #5606393 -

I am at my second growing attempt and using wheat berries this time, as was recomended by a book. The only problem is that they say to add calcium carbonate and calcium sulfate to the wheat before PCing. I don't have either of those and I'm too anxious to wait for them in the mail. Will I be ok without these? I haven't seen anything about wheat berries on here so maybe this is a bad substrate to use.

if the berries are rye berries then you dont need to add anything.

Don't know about wheat berries,

But Rye berries, you do not need to add anything.

So I can only assume that would hold true for wheat berries, though I have not heard of people using that.
