Hey Howdy ! My Wife was diagnosed skitzophrenic years ago but her latest therapist rediagnosed her with Post Tramatic Stress Syndrome about 6 months ago. She has a couple other health probs but their physical and wouldnt interfere with eatin Shrooms so Im not too concerned bout any physical health issues seein as I think we got it covered. She did acid a bit when she was younger and enjoyed it and thinks she would like to trip now. We were wonderin if anybody could give us any advice about this bein that shes on a couple of psych meds. She takes 25 mg of Fluphenazine a day and 1 mg x 3 a day of Benztropine. Would any Kind Souls have any advice for us?

I have some advice.
Shrooms can make things volatile. I would deeply consider whether or not you want to trip because of that.
For me, I think it mostly depends on how you feel about your life in general. If you look forward to every day and you generally have things under control, then you can consider shrooming. You need to be strong because you could potentially go through a rough time afterwards and if you don't have that strength to persevere then it will cause a problem.
I'm just looking at things logically based on a cautious mindset. There is a risk involved and you should make an assesment about whether or not it is truly worth that risk.

SHrooms tend to bring out underlying and un-resolved psychological problems which might be of benefit to her, but it might be VERY much the opposite.

agree with both above posts.
You just need to keep in mind that psychedelics bring underlying issues up to the microscope (and sometimes not so gently). My personal opinion is that someone with any underlying mental health issues (diagnosed or not) should just not partake in psychedelics.
If someone was to partake under these circumstances however, my advice would be to just make sure the positive energy is flowing, and have a great, learning experience.

I think if you need drugs to numb you into accepting reality, then you seriously don't need to take drugs which alter and fuck with your reality.

I agree with the the above posts. As long as you have no psychotherapist to guide the session, don´t do it! It could make things worse, and you also don´t know how the psilocybin would interfere with the fluphanzine-benztrop-whateverstuff. These downers are quite the contrary to psychedelics, and she takes them to feel better, so what do you think would psychedelics do to her?
