ok so my plants are about a month old, a mix of bagseed from florida, oregon and mexico.  theyre less than a foot tall and have been outdoors their whole lives, ive been fertilizing them well and have noticed that they have begun to smell. at first they didnt smell unless i got close, but now i can smell them just standing there.  so, i am wondering how much these babies are gonna stink when they get into flowering.  they will most likely be growing amongst tall grains and other flowering plants, so the visual security is not an issue.  what im wondering is, how far away can you usually detect the plants by smell?  assuming these are some sticky smelly plants, that is.  thanks :stoned:

2.4 light years away once the gov gets these super soliders hooked into this new equipment they got. Apparently they can see threw there tongue or some shit...and watch out when they get dogs hooked up to smell threw there eyes!

I could always smell my plant from 50 yards away. Don't worry somebody will just think something died.

Kill a skunk and lay it around the plant somewhere. Not actuall around the plant, but a few (50 yards) away :wink:

lavender is a very strong smelling plant for most of the year. Plant aload around it and it'll mask the smell well.

gracias my fellows. actually, my garden has an ambient odor as it is during the summer because of all the flowers. and the honeysuckle i've planted produces an intoxicating odor all through the year, so hopefully that will be enough. no one visits my garden but maybe once a month, so the dead skunk is a good idea. and i was also wondering, i read somewhere that outdoor plants started before july will be of inferior quality, tall, lanky and airy buds. is this always true? my original goal is to grow some herb with as close to fully natural methods as possible, including full sun and a full growing season. the 20 or so plants that are already growing are doing fine so far, but i will be seeding more later if it is true that these will be lower quality. thanks.

I wouldn't worry about it. most people wouldn't realize they're smelling reefer growing. It's just one of those things. if you're not a pothead, you won't think people are smoking pot. however, i would be the first person to sniff you out if i smelled them. :smile: 

its kinda like when you're driving at night and someone has the car light on in the car next to you. you realize they're prolly packing a bowl, because alot of marijuana users do the same thing haha. kinda like the matrix. once your "awakened" you realize that theres a lot of potheads among us and you can call them out on it.
