Pan trop.. racing the greennnn...... short story

Dude's just has the worst luck with these. He has a box lined with a trahs-bag, filled with compressed, Pan trop colonised straw. Block is about 12" * 12" * 5". Anyway, he cased this and placed it right into fruiting conditions(he should have probably resumed incubation for a day or two, huh?). A few days ago Mr. Green started knocking at the door... so he gets rid of the tiny spot and covers where it was with baking soda. It happened again yesterday in a different spot. He saw more green today, and decided to operate by totally removing the casing layer and peeling off a layer of straw from the block, but just when he is about to get started, he sees the teensiest weensiest little mushy starting. So he says what the hell, and patches the new green growth with baking soda. Hopefully, if one mushy started, more won't be far behind and this won't be a total waste... Oh well... We shall see what becomes of this box. My bookie isn't around, but hopefully dude's odds are better than 50-50...

But hey, that can be enough to get a print and a clone...

I'm just picturing it.. One little Pan Trop in a huge tray, pretty sad, especially after seeing all of the beautiful full flushes of them that have been posted in the past. This is his second time with Pans, the first was from a Pan cyan print won from psilocyber before he became a vendor. He only got about ten or so mushys; the largest less than three quarters of an inch tall.. lol

We'll see, hopefully something picture-worthy will pop up, but as luck has been going with these, I doubt it...
