I just gave up my cigarette habit for an occasional cigar habit. I was curious to know who else on the shroomery boards enjoys a good cigar, and what their taste leans toward...

My main goal was to save my lungs. You don't inhale a real cigar because the fermentation of the tobacco increases the transmucosal nicotine absorbtion. Also you'll gag if you try. I've really gotten into cigars in the 4 to 7 dollar range. Rocky Patel Vintage, CAO Gold and Italias, Cusano Corojos (with the '97 wrapper), and am looking to branch out into new tastes and wrappers...

Down with the poison dealers (big tobacco)
Up with the handcrafted gourmet experience that is a good cigar!!

I have smoked cigars before, and I do consider them to be better then cigarettes. The occasional Black 'N Mild.

I prefer my cigars cut open and filled with marijuana. I could never get into smoking an actual cigar.

Actually, if you buy a good five dollar Maduro wrapped cigar and fill it with weed, it makes and awesome tasting blunt. The only problem is, its a little hard to inhale.

actually im a cigar fan, i will buy a box of white owl strawberry cigars about once a week, thing is that i dont smoke them... i just chew on them.

well on ocasion i do actually light them up.. but i never smoke more than an inch...

weird thing is though, i dont smoke cigarettes so i dont have any tolerance to nicotine, and chewing on those cigars does get me messed up! more so than smoking a cigar.

When I smoke, it's a cigar. Partagas Black Label being my usual poison. Either the Cl?sico, or the Magnifico.

we all love blunts. ive never met anyone who hasnt. i like black n milds (the smooth ones) and the black & mild vanillas. those have a good taste. i dont even like tobbacco but damn those are good. the taste reminds me of pudding.

i hear ciggs are one of the worst drugs to quit. my old middle school history teacher told me about how she got real bad nicotene withdrawl and started to bleed or something internally and was in the hospital for like a week.

Damn!! Well I haven't had any cigarettes in 7 days and I feel alright. I smoked cigarettes for thirteen years! But I have smoked a good cigar every other day. Black and Milds and White Owls and such aren't really what I'm talking about; I'm not being a snob or anything, they are just truly nasty compared to a good 5 dollar cigar. Those Partagas actually aren't bad though, they make products across the spectrum of quality.

And all cigars will give you a buzz from chewing on them, as long as the tobacco was aged/fermented properly. Supposedly pipe tobacco is the same way, although I can't speak from experience on that one.

I'm playing a jazz gig at some fancy shmancy hotel this afternoon for 75 bucks - easy money - so I'll be hitting up my local tobacconist tonight!
