summer plans
    #5554169 - 04/25/06 07:16 AM (17 years, 9 months ago)

this summer i plan on saturating myself with all the good music i missed growing up. i just recently got into biographies of these bands, some old and some new. i started out with motley crue's The Dirt and Tommyland, then i read the marilyn manson book, then i got into The Doors for a while and read jim morrison's biography. this summer i want to finally get into pink floyd, led zeppelin, jimi hendrix, and the Dead.

does anyone have advice on which books are the best and most accurate for these bands? or any other bands i should check out?

I want to spend more of this summer outdoors.  My main plan is to camp/hike more along with keeping my garden up nicely.  I'm also going to buy a bike here in about a week so I can get to riding again.  Other then that my summer plans include a lot of pot and psychedelic use, some good music, and soaking up the sun. :sun:

Hopefully I'll find a part time job soon and then get my thoughts together and buy a car and a new notebook laptop. Maybe i'll buy a playstation 2 again, my old one broke, and get the game Kingdom Of Hearts, or atleast buy the soundtrack. The music that they play in the game are highly inspirational. I do have a Final Fantasy 7 Soundtrack that kicks ass, and a couple ambient cds that I listen to most of the time, that and the radio as I sit on my back porch and smoke cigs.

of course i listen to the music, but i like to read about all the fun shit i missed out on by being born 30 years later. theres some things that you dont always pick up when you listen to the music that you can find in the books. it helps explain the musicians and their motivation
