Doc will be unavailable

I am Doc's wife and he just wanted me to let all his friends here that he won't be around for a little while.  Unfortunaltly he was arrested on Monday and is being held in the county jail with a $5000 cash bond that I am unable to come up with.  The charges are not drug related at all and I am unsure when they will let him out being that we have no family ties in the community we live in and they think he is going to run.
If anyone has any questions or would like for me to give Doc any messages please feel free to pm him as i will be checking his messages.  Please think of us during these hard times, we need all the prayers we can get.

he supposedly assaulted someone, they calim he punched him in the face and in all reality the man grabbed him first and doc just pushed him away but the man he got into the altercattion with has alot of ties to the police force here so thats why they are screwing him

well i have to suggestions, if you do win somehow and the police were trying to cover stuff up because of there friendship with this guy...then sue the hell out of them.

number 2, call somebody higher up like i guess fbi? to check into the matter. the fact that you at least try to do these things would i think look good incourt at the least.

thanks everyone for your support, yes his bail was higher, but i was able to get it reduced, but they still want $5000 cash which is alot of money for our family. He goes to court on monday so i will update everyone then. thanks again everyone

As long as your husband doesn't have a bad record, I don't see him serving much jail time, if any at all. Probably just mass-community service hours. A lot of judges prefer to do this because of the high cost of maintaining prisoners (something around 20,000 a year) which comes out of the public's taxes :frown:

My cousin originally was sentenced to 2 years for an assault (that was actually just a drunken brawl between them both), because the person he got into the fight with dad was a cop...

However, after only a month the judge released him with a huge sum of community service hours.

A court apointed lawyer is just going to try and get you to comply with what the court/judge/prosecuter want.He will butter up the deal and make it seem if you plead guilty that the sentencing will be light and easy.

Dont pay the 5k.Use the money to pay for a damn good lawyer.

Oh yea, in Docs case, it would be better with a good lawyer and plead not guilty.
Expecially since it sounds like he isn't guilty.
