Uhhhh... I got my gallbladder removed on monday

Monday at 9:30 I had surgery, was awake at 12:30 and left the hospital around 1:30.

That night I was in the worst pain I have ever felt, because they fill up the abdomen with co2 in order to get to the organ.

Tuesday was much better but sill painful, and now today I can only feel the pain of the 4 incisions they made.

They gave me some generic vikiden mixed with Tylenol which helps, but still in a little bit of pain.


*** Has any one had problems with their gallbladder? or need it removed?

Just want to talk about it, I got nothing better to do right now. :sad:

Most people get gallstones... and they block the bile duct (see a diagram) and prevents bile from traveling from your liver into your large intestine.

My gallbladder however had no stones, but was red irritated and generally ticker than any one else. Even more over the duct that connects to the liver and gallbladder was thin.

*IE - Normal gallbladders empty at a 40-60% rate --- Mine was 7%

Seriously.  Go back to your doctor and tell him your pain is a 9 on a scale of 10.  GEt some form of oxycodone without APAP and a lot of it and you wont care about gall anything anymore! :wink:

10mg percs or oc 20's or 4mg dilaudids ... id demand one of those if i ever have to get some organ removed

If you get dilaudid, which you won't, SNORT THEM or INJECT THEM, eating them is a complete waste of very good opiates. (They notoriously weak when consumed orally)

yea theyre definately weaker orally.. if you got enough you can get some pretty good and long nods from it orally though... i swallowed like 3 4mgers earlier . i feel pretty good....

snorting or banging them are a completely different high. it doesnt last very long though

LoL, I'm not in that much pain anymore... just was the first day.

Now its just the residual pain from the stiches.

I mainly wanted to share the experience and see if any one else has had gallbladder problems.

I find it funny that you guys go to the extent to "snort" or "shoot" up the prescription drugs.

they are in pill format for a reason. Easy ingestion and minimal effort.

ROFL I would like to see someone in intense pain snorting a line or shooting up... missing the vain like 20 times.

have you seen a dilaudid? theyre smaller than a tic-tac... besides it works 10x better insuffalated than orally..

other than those and OC's... your right snorting pills is dumb

Yeah I'd definitely call the docs and say the painkillers aren't doing much of anything for you and that you are in excruciating pain. He will give you something much better such as oxycodone, morphine, or if you're very lucky dilaudid.

m00nshine is currently vacationing in Maui. Rumor has it he got rolled by drunken natives and is currently prostituting himself in order to pay for airfare back to the mainland but he's having trouble juggling a hairon addiction. He won't be back for a long while.

had mine out 2 years ago

it sucked, I had a few gall bladder attacks and that was horrible pain. The night before I went to the hospital I almost was considering at home surgery, it hurt so bad.


you might find now that you cant eat certain foods and since you have no bile storage(gall bladder) certain foods(mostly high fat content) and/or alcohol will make your liver excrete LOTS of bile. This sucks as , at least for me, it runs through your digestion tract like lightning and believe me, bile BURNS.

oh man, Im not looking forward to getting my gullbladder out.
I had an attack that sent me to the hospital the day after thanksgiving.

I dont have stones, but I have sludge which will eventually become stones, meaning next attack i have im being told to just go to the emergency room and tell them to remove it.

ugh..damn fatty foods

I had mine removed the day after Turkey day 2 years ago...wow

its not that bad, I would have never ever thought a little clog would hurt so much, shit I've cut myself witha chainsaw before and that was like heaven compared to a gall bladder attack

and they say kidney stones are worse

Im interested because im only 3 days without my gallbladder.

I think its because Ive never eaten so much rich and greasy food in one sitting

my grandmas a little lady but she cooks like shes trying to kill

I remember when I was in the hospital they told me that it was the most popular day for people to come in having attacks ha ha
