Malabar or Penis Envy?

This strain shown below is either malabar or penis envy. The caps haven't opened yet, so i really can't tell. I have some of each and I guess that i forgot to label this one. This is my first time growing either one of these strains. If anyone could tell me what this is, along with any potency, size, or any other type of information on these 2 strains, i'd appreciate it.

Some pic's from the side would help, but going by the little indentation on the big cap, and the overall appearance of the little ones, they seem to look like a helmet, I believe it could very well be the PE . You should really know by tomorrow. :thumbup:

also, is all the white fuzz that you see coming off the base of the shrooms a good thing? I have heard that that means not enough moisture.

those are huge... i didn't know they would get that tall. What were you growing those off of? and is the potency about the same as most pcs?

The white fuzz is a sign of high humidity, cracked caps would be a sign of low humidity.

I, along with all my friends, find them to be quite powerful.

seriously i missed you..but anyways,yes PE strain are very very powerful..i think over most cubes...and i use tenn stud and that shit gets them huge :smile:

That's why I said a side pic would help. Look at the indentation on that big cap. Looks like the underside of a penis,lol.

Hard to tell the shape of the cap from the top. Can't tell if they're round or oval :confused:

Hmm, I'm no expert but they don't look PE to me. Are they multi-spore? Penis Envy, at least the sub-strain I've seen, tends to have a fat stem when small like that. Once they mature they get a gnarly, bumpy look and bell or helmet shaped caps that makes you think of a big fat cock. If they are PE, you'll know in a few hours. If they're not, you'll be wondering until the caps open. Be sure to post a pic when they get bigger.

I believe it's a cross between PE and Texas that RR came up with .

I'm sure it's a good cube, easier to print, just doesn't have that pure penis look to it.

Sporeworks doesn't have or sell PE6 so that isn't a possibility. They just have the classic PE and the PE/Albino hybrid (still in development). Judging by the shape and coloration, it looks more like Malabar. PE is less reddish orange and more flat brown in coloration and the caps are typically narrower when young.

Wasn't sure if they had PE6 or not. I know a lot of new peeps order it not realizing it's a cross.

How is the PE/albino coming. Will it have the physical characteristics of PE, in an albino color. That sounds like one I'd like to add to my collection :grin:
