melted plastic in LC

Today I PC'd a 600ml LC for 1 hr. After it cooled I noticed clumped plastic on the surface, like hard, white pond scum. It's crazy. I figure that plastic is non-nutritious, so I think that since it is in solid form now that it won't harm my mycelium. I inoculated with 2cc anyway. Is the plastic from the top of the lid? WTF!? You guys had this happen before?

it happens to me. was it a jar that was submerged in the water? its just the water, nothing to be worried about. it wipes right off.

No, the plastic is actually in the jar. I can't really wipe it off.

not sure what method you are using, but all the teks i have read say to only pc them for 20 minutes.
