I love posting in the Pub, however it would be nice if certain rules were a little more lenient. Mainly the "No Flaming" rule, because a good insult is needed at times.

It sure is. Do you think that the  mods are unfair in their judgment when it comes to reinforcing that rule?

both extremely unfair and heavily biased

I think the pub is................... the pub. It's unique, I don't know. I like pretty much all of the forums here, so no complaints from my end.

The pub is just a chill place. The personalities here are so awsome (usually). I dunno why but I love it!

The only real complaint is the selective enforcement of the rules. I see some post something totally rude and it stays up, then 2 threads down someone is getting banned for something that is only questionable.

Pub mods have final say and can enforce these rules as they see fit.

But, keep in mind, we're not robots (we'll one among us is) I don't see everything, I try to stop in as much as possible, but I have a life. Can't spend all day here.

To be fair, there have been long periods of time where only two or three mods on the list have been present (in fact, I never see some mods that are assigned to this forum actually post in here), more often than not, I'm one of those here. Only one, of maybe two or three mods that have check the forum all day. So people see a disproportional amount of posts edited by me or whatever. I don't have it in for anyone, if you see something that you find disagreeable, there is a "notify mod button."

Whoever said that we should treat this like a job, that's not gonna happen, it's just not reasonable. Not saying I'm gonna act like an asshole or anything, but the day we get paid for this will be the day I start treating this like a job, I have a job already, fuck that. I already find myself checking what I say and not saying things I would have normally. I come here to have fun too.

Morel of the story, don't act like a dick in the pub and you won't hear a peep from me.

Why not treat it like a volunteer service? You can treat it like a job, yet not be paid.

I guarantee if I was a mod, I would treat it exactly like a job.

I'm not saying I take shit personally, I'm just saying there's no way I'm treating it like a job, that'd take the last shred of fun I have posting here. That'd be terrible.

But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them.

For the record, I would never, EVER do that to anyone other than OMR, cause I know he'll think it's funny and it wasn't the first time he's called me out :smirk:.

my point was, for those of you who apparently completely missed or are sidestepping it, you need to take the emotion and personal agendas out of your moderation.

Didn't I say that? The same applies to everyone else to, people seem to take it personally when they get their posts edited or whatever, don't!~

Case in point, re: unfair moderation.

Were I to tell a noob that their first post is unacceptable and to make a "proper" one, I'd get banned in record time. However, traditional pubbers can get away with shit like that.

I never have complained about your moderation style, and although I responded to you , I apologize , it wasn't directed at you

its just hard to enforce rules when you let feelings get in the way(again not directed at you)
