I want to know what you all think about the Pub.

Why do you post here? Why don't you post here? Tell me what you love, what you hate, what you would like to see differently. Tell me your gripes and concerns.

Don't forget to be respectful, tho. I know there are a lot of people out there with strong or negative opinions, and I want to hear those too, but in this thread; you must respect the rules of the pub.

I don't like posting here because most of the posters come off as idiot delusional 17 year-old hippies.

NOT that I'm condemning that--I, too, once had long hair, took philosophy classes, and listend to Phish and went to a Widespread Panic concert while on Acid. 

I wish the Pub had more critical thinking. 

There's a reason Marxism hasn't yet o'erwhelmed the globe.

mostly, i post in the pub in the mornings while starting the work-day. it fits great with checking up a few newspapers, perhaps finding some new music to listen to.

oh and also, dead lyrics threads (though nowhere near as common today as before) always make me smile

I like the supportive community aspect of the pub.  There's always someone to listen, offer words of advice or wisdom, or just shoot the shit if I'm bored.  I find *most* people in here are pretty intelligent, opinionated, and creative.  I enjoy reading what they have to say, and looking at pictures that people are willing to share.

I love posting in the Pub, however it would be nice if certain rules were a little more lenient. Mainly the "No Flaming" rule, because a good insult is needed at times.

m00nshine is currently vacationing in Maui. Rumor has it he got rolled by drunken natives and is currently prostituting himself in order to pay for airfare back to the mainland but he's having trouble juggling a hairon addiction. He won't be back for a long while.

I like the Pub as well as OTD, although I think they could cool it with the song lyrics postings sometimes. :tongue: It just depends on the mood I'm in, I suppose.

I think that sometimes the pub is definitely over-moderated. I understand that the rules are in place for a reason, but I feel like in some cases they're enforced way more than they should be. I suppose its pretty hard to define where to draw the line, especially if it were to be left ambiguous, and ESPECIALLY with so many mods for one forum.

I don't know what to suggest, I guess that certain mods just be maybe a little more laid back?

i think if mods were more relaxed with their bannings and post editing a lot more fun and intelligent conversation could be had and far less drama and controversy. it really is a simple and obvious answer.. for me anyway

I agree with Liz. The Pub doesn't seem as "welcoming" as it used to. More like..."everything's the same color in here" now.

I like the Pub. It's just a change of pace from OTD, and there are people here who I talk to who don't frequent OTD.

I think the mods just need to chill a bit on some regards, but overall they do a damn fine job.

I feel like I relate to most of the users in the pub. The shroomerites who post here aren;t here to put down others, they're just here to chill out, relax, have some decent conversation and have a few good laughs. I feel like I know you all so well and I've never met most of you.

This place is like no other and I could never say that enough.
