I just started using bittorrent... where do I get links?

Im new to this program but it seems pretty awesome, I just don't know how I can find what Im looking for. Any suggestions?

search for cool bit torrent sites.  Once you install your bit torrent you can just click on files and it should begin the process of downloading.

btw.. dont be disheartened if the torrent dosent look like its doing anything. I find its best to do files before bed. It takes some time.


Judge the files you pick on the amount of "seeders" the more seeders the faster your gonna get it.

cool thanks! I just started messing around with BitTornado, already dl'ing a file. Seems way better than Limewire already  :thumbup:

btw, this korean friend of mine uses a korean program, and it goes so much faster than my bittorrent... my bit torrent, it just stays on zero forever, its like people dont seed. but his korean one, its never an issue.
when he comes over to install it for me ill try to remember an post it.

ps: you know, that mininova sounds soooo familiar... it might be the korean version of that... lol. i dont know. will see soon.

So how do I upload parts of files? Do they just come out of my downloads folder? And is "seeding" when you have a part of a file to upload?

Pat just beat me to it. But yeah, the pirate bay, to my understanding, is one of the (if not THE) biggest torrent sites around. It's based in Sweden, I think.

Bittorrents pretty crap. I find Usenet Binaries to be a hell of a lot faster plus you get the latest releases on there way before they filter through to Bittorrent.

If you do stick with Bittorrent though check out the Azureus client, by far the most popular Bittorrent client there is.
