i suggest stretching in the morning and before you go to bed. with your neck you have to stretch reaaaaaallly slowly as to not strain or injure it. bow your head and look at your feet, now go around in a circle very slowly until u are looking at your ceiling, then come around back the other side. do this a couple times and u feel your muscles relax a little bit. If your condition persists then I recommend seeing a doctor.

ok...when i go in a circle it sounds like my bones may be grinding together...did a disk get displaced possibly?

You may want to consider seeing a chiropractor. They can do wonders for a messed up neck. Just a couple of appointments would do the trick; don't get suckered into long term treatment.

See a chiro and in the meanwhile, drink lots of water, get lots of essential fatty acids and take alpha lineolic acid. It helps to lube up the joints and I find that I've had WAY less joint problems since!!!

Just ween the neck for now, gentle stretchs are fine. Make sure you have good posture when you sleep as well.. this is important. I just had a neck fuck up... woke up with my blanket and pillows all jumbled, head contorted in a weird position and it hurt for about a week. You just have to tough it out.

But get it checked out seeing as how you were working out and it was probably forceful. When you're doing bicep curls, you shouldn't swing too much. Only cheat if it's controlled. I cheat for my last few reps but I don't think you should be tensing up your neck, traps or shoulders the way you may have been. I don't want to lecture you because now you know. Get better man. Neck pains suck dick.

That's why it's important to properly form yourself in whatever activity you do. Bicep curls, just like anything else, can really mess up your alignment. Just be relaxed, focus, and do what you know. Seriously trust yourself and let it happen. Don't be super duper man, don't be slowass careful guy. Just do it the right way. This means starting slow and being concious of your decision to take it up a notch.

If you think it's important with bicep curls, try heavy deadlifts. =) Then you will truly see how bad you can mess yourself up if you do it wrong. I'm not trying to brag. I'm just saying.. it's all connected and you should realize that.

Anyways, try stretching. It can only help if you do it right.

You may find that this is a long term problem. Don't freak out about it. Just put in work to make things better and realize the lesson you've learned about proper posture.

Man... deadlifts.... I've seen people do such HORRIBLE deadlifts that I almost needed to sit down just from looking at them. I bet that's gotta hurt in the morning
