Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be quiet to unsettled for the next 24 hours. On 09-10 March, predominantly unsettled conditions are expected, with possible isolated active periods. This increased activity is due to a high speed coronal hole stream.

this should be interesting, they barely ever have a forecast that detailed these days, and i would imagine that it will be a very interesting few nights!

the aurora, aurora borealis, aka northern lights, an amazing site to be seen.

it is caused when energet particles from the sun are released and collide with the earth's magnetosphere, causing among other things, amazing displays of light in the sky\

my brother has seen it from chicago, i have seen it from iowa, and hell in big enough events people have seen it from florida...

it all depends on the storm's intensity

look here for aurora viewing info

but i can tell you need a view of the northern sky that dosent suffer from lightp ollution
