possible Auroras out tonight!

There is a very large coronal hole on the sun right now. A coronal hole is a spot on the sun (represented in the picture by a darker colored spot) that is cooler than the rest of the sun. This cooling allows magnetic fields to escape the sun's atmosphere and fly through space towards earth. When they get here often times they cause auroras.

solar flares cause all sorts of electrical interference also.

It's a-whole-lot cooler in Alaska, Live in between buildings and mountains and such... Pictures will never capture what that appears to be...
