Look at this from another angle...as far as the government was concerned, you were mentally ill and needed to be institutionalized, since you seemed unable to prove differently, what choice did they have?

Yep. We have ignored NAFTA enough in regards to Canada times that I think your gov't could get away with ignoring the requests for extradition. Canada is a sovereign country, you know, not just another US state.

Don't misunderstand me, I would LOVE for Canada to ignore this extradition request, unfortunately I think that's a pretty simplistic view of the situation. There would be economic repercussions for both sides...
