can i keep hash cookies in the freezer?

i have a lot of them, and i would like to save them for some other time. they are typical cookies: crumbly, although with a higher fat content due to the hash butter. I also have an airtight vacuum container (with vacuum pump) but it's too small to stuff all the cookies in :crazy:

eating them all or giving them away is not an option, yet..

ideas?

Saran wrap, vacuum seal, freeze. Should easily be good for a month.

a month? i was hoping to be able to save them for a year..

thats what i did with my hash cake.

what do you think will happen after a month?

You can probably keep them for a year, I was just being very conservative. I've kept cookies for over a year with no problems, but they weren't hash cookies.

Well if they're sealed, you're not going to lose potency in the freeze --
but the texture and flavor will probably degrade over time.

i'll just take my chances. will go with both saran wrap and airtight container. thanks guys.

just use sran wrap, they stay good for a loooooooong time in the freezer, don't worry about that :thumbup:

I've had some 3-4 months, they tasted funny but worked as good as ever.
