Chocolate Drop Cookies "ROCKS"

These are the greatest cookies ever imo
I have fond memories of eating them as a child..this is my mom's recipe
Here is what you need:

(in order to make the cookies right you should follow the directions exactly.. messing with mixtures has proven disasterous in the past)

1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
1/2 cup milk
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups INSTANT oatmeal (non-flavored)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Melt butter in medium saucepan..medium to medium-high heat

Add the cocoa powder, sugar, and milk.. whisk well to dissolve everything and allow to reach a light boil - this is the important part..
if you have a candy thermometer you must boil to the "softball" stage.. if no candy thermometer you must boil no less than 3 minutes and no more than 4. I would advise you to use a timer or otherwise keep a very close eye on the clock as the timing of the boil is critical. Start counting the time after the mixture has begun to boil...not a rolling boil.

while that is boiling mix your peanut butter and oatmeal together

once the cocoa mixture has boiled for the proper time (too much time and it will be too dry, too little and it will be too wet) remove it from the heat and quickly stir in the oatmeal, peanut butter, and vanilla extract until it is mixed thouroughly.

Lay out sheets of wax paper, grab a spoon and spoon out chunks of this chocolatey oatmeal mixture as big as you like and plop them down on the wax paper. Allow to cool and enjoy.

I remember having a recipe like this and they were tasty. The best part is there is no baking involved.

i want to add cannabis to them..... :evil:
but yeah, i'm gonna make these when i get the time.
