Does anyone know of a place that sells speaker wire that cant be chewed thru?

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a place, local, or internet,
that sells speaker wire that animals cant chew thru?
I am getting tired of replacing wire because of pets, I,ve tried
running the wires in rubber tubing, and that flex covering, but
that wont keep my animal out. Maybe next step is to put into pvc pipe.

I can't think of anything off the top of my head, but what about spraying the wire with something that tastes bad? For example, i know they have this stuff to keep people from biting their nails that they put on their nails and it tastes disgusting. Everytime they go to bite they get a nasty reminder.

My brother's cats used to hew my speaker wires all the time. back in the day. I ended up going to Radio Shack and buying some solid speaker wire; that is, speaker wire that was not a whole bunch of little wires twisted together, but a single wire. (Don't know the technical names right now).

I have tried using this stuff against nail biting on a degus once with no luck. but It probably varies from animal to animal

if u could get some 8 gauges cheap thats pretty thick, like amp hookup

Maybe you could electrify the wires, so they'll get the shit shocked out of them when they try to bite it. JK......but seriously.

make a solution of vinegar and water and put it in a spray bottle. Catch them doing it= a spray...they catch on quick unless you have a lab!

Wrap them as thick as you can with duct tape and repatch when necessary? That's about all I could think of that wasn't suggested.
