I love playing guitar either under the influence of LSD or mushrooms. I *think" I always sound amazing, but that might be because im totally out of it, Im not sure. So, I recently purchased a device that will allow myself to record to my computer while being under the influence of these drugs. The real test will be listening to this music while sober.

I prefer just weed and drums, when I play drums under the influence of LSD or shrooms I'm just too out of it. For example sometimes I'll see faces squirming in and out of the drum heads and usually feel guilty about beating them with sticks. Or my drum sticks will look like neverending snakes, its the distractions that take away from my playing and overall enjoyment of the instrument.

i love to jam on the come-up and the come-down - however i don't understand how some people have been able to play really fucking amazing stuff, while on heavy doses of psychedelics. my mind makes so much music that i can never tell what i'm playing and what i'm "imagining" - as well, spatial sense distorts to the point that i have to focus on the guitar neck to see what i'm playing, and the more i focus, the more it distorts.

I could never play my guitar while tripping really hard because my hands always feel like liquid. But listening to solo guitar instrumentals such as Steve Vai, Eric Sardnes(sp?), and many other greats, is sooooo awesome. Its like the guitar develops its own voice. like a real human voice.

meh, both vai and satriani - while AMAZING guitarists, have never done it for me. in the same way that Tower of Power is a theoretically perfect funk band, but i'd rather listen to Maceo Parker any day of the week - whenever i hear them, they sound dry and machine like, and you can usually always guess what they're going to take a jam into. i'd take leo kotke wailing on his acoustic if i want to hear "shreddding" :grin: or at least something like buckethead, where the music has a twist to it..

My boyfriend and I are both guitar players who have been long time fans of Vai and Satriani. But one time we were laying in the floor trippin on about 4 grams of shrooms and listening to a Steve Vai CD. It moved us both soo much almost to tears and from that momment on our guitar playin has been so different and the way we look at music and life in general has changed for the better.

Well because of that night him and I decided to get Steve Vais band logo tattoo on us

when im on lsd i can can express myself through my my fingers way faster than i cna with talking
i get way into bass on acid :jamming: however i think i enjoy playing on shrooms much more
because not i feel like i havew  abetter overall control of my mind and my instrament
