Ok, so now i got ANOTHER question...

We have been talking about using the 36" Martha (pictured above)

the 30" Martha closet (the one w/ wheels & a shelf built-in) appears to have a bottom already intact, if you look at the pic of this one (from K-Mart) you will see what i mean:

i WANT the 36" model (this would be perfect for me) but it seems like it would be nice to have the bottom already "professionally" installed...

OH, and as far as the Question regarding the output/Yield of this setup...

you should already have a good idea of what you will Yield from the strains you work with. you should know what to expect from a Tub full of fruiting Cakes and what to expect from your Casings.

This is just an AWESOME setup to house your babies. Thanks, Martha Stewart (yes!)... like Magash said, it just provides the perfect environment for your casings. AND, maybe, even fruiting cakes according to Hippie Chick...

what I'm saying is:

The Martha doesn't grow your shrooms, YOU do. How well YOU do at growing your Shooms will dictate how many Shrooms you pull out of your Martha.

You should also consider that if you want a constant yield, you need to be putting back into the Martha what you take out.

my 36" martha has a vinyl bottom that is about 3" off of the ground. i put a couple pieces of wood inderneath so i could support the shelves (from a closet organizer my friend was going to throw away) inside.

if you're worried about taking shelves from behind a 'mart' store, check behind a grocery store. ive replaced many racks and dumped the old ones outside so i wouldn't need to bring them with me.

In regards to getting a large yield it seems that It would probably be easier to do some bulk straw grows. The Martha is nice because It will allow you to experiment with different strains.

Alright, but how do you contain optimum control over the humindity? How do you make the shift from a 99% pinning humidty to the ideal 85% fruting humidity?

By using two coolmist's. If your room RH is 50-60%, then all you need is two coolmists hooked up to pin. When initiating fruiting you can simply unhook one coolmist!

Many people also use an ultrasonic humidifier in addition to coolmist's. It needs to be on a timer though.....I use two coolmist's and a personal ultrasonic on a timer, one hour on 4 times a day!

Yeah Yeah Yeah I know everybody lowers the humidity for casings. OI Haw SA Mal B+

Not lowering the humidity is how I get high pin counts.

Yup I never lower it. I set it and forget it. Seems to work ok.

Allright, so i bought the 36" Martha... went to Lowe's and got 4 lengths of 4.5 foot chain along w/ an array of S-hooks, clasps, etc. to hang my wire trays with (thanks for the idea Magash). ima install the hanging trays tomorrow.

NEW QUESTION:

i have my martha in a bedroom closet. i still have a few feet on either side of the martha, but it is backed against the closet wall and there is maybe 3-4 inches between the martha and the sliding closet doors. so, there's no way to run the coupling/hoses to the back of the martha...

anyone forsee a problem running the inlet hoses into the sidewall of the martha???

I'd recommend getting those humidifiers off the carpet. 90% of all contaminants in a room are within 12" of the floor, especially with carpet.

i am down with the 4 tier mini greenhouse.... i do not like the idea of making my own shelves either... but everyone is their own mcgyver.
