Who's down with the Martha Stewart casing closet???

Ok, so i'm sure most everyone knows what i'm referring to when i say the "Martha Stewart casing closet"...
here's a snapshot direct from K-Mart: http://images.kmart.com/assets/images/product/large/9990000035426911.jpg and a link from the tek using it in the grow guide/cultivation section: http://www.shroomery.org/index.php/par/26177
i just wanted to know if anyone uses this plastic closet/humidifier setup as a multiple casing chamber. i'm considering setting one up to supplement my cake tubs(perlite terrariums) also, is this a good humidifier setup he uses in this tek? he says to use cool mist constantly and the ultrasonic off&on...
any input?

i followed that tek almost 100% for my last few grows, highly recommended, if you keep it full.
humidity depends on how much is in your chamber. when i was at max capacity...
i only ran one coolmist and no ultra. but now its less than half full and im having problems keeping up the humidity. 2 cool mists should do it, there is actually little need for an ultra.

With the martha stewart closet do you have to buy some type of shelving to put in there?

The martha setup is just a place to house your casings. It doesn't affect the flushes other than to provide optimal environment.

Yeah but im refering to the size of the martha and the ratio of shrooms for the space. I mean, what can one generally yield of dry shrooms from a good martha setup for maximum yield.....?

Thats impossible to say, dude. But suppose you can hold 25 foil tray casings in there and you get 1-2 oz from each one, you could feasibly get 2 dry lbs, but that's assuming everything goes right and nothing goes wrong, so it could be anything.

Put it this way. There use to be 50 of these every 5 weeks
No need for the ultrasonic, well that is gonna depend on where you live how hot it is there and crap. Not many go without it in the summer. Myself I'd go with the combo before using two cool mists. Why have two constantly running cool mists that use up more power (given it isn't much esp if your use to something like these so I hear I just take pics) they are gonna need to be filled more often and so on buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut as I have said many many many times if it works it's good use it and harvest.

look around the outside of grocery stores, department stores (target/walmerica), Lowes/home depot. they all keep their extra display shelving outside, i found a perfect fit for my martha in no time.

Yeah, I used an old cheap shoe rack from the same Mart store...
I made a few PVC inlets:
and then a couple modified coolmists:
Sorry I don't have updated pics as of now, I lost the damn cord to my digital camera!! Anyway, I'd say it's the way to go! When set up and running to capacity, one can expect.....THERE ARE TOO MANY VARIABLES....dry weight. Seriously, there is no way to tell. SWIM pulled 4lb dry off a similar setup many years ago in a land where such a thing were legal.... Cheers

I agree...and you can find them on e-bay all day long!
However, when getting shelving from behind Lowe's, Walmart, Home Depot ect., is it free for the taking? Or do ya' have to ask someone, and be charged. I've been looking for shelving and it seems rather expensive. The few shelves I've got cost me some jing! and shipping shelving materials can be costly. Just wondering...

well... yes they are free, but only if you assume that without asking anyone in the store. use the nighttime, like a ninja. but it really isnt a big deal, you dont really stand to get in any trouble, just say "i thought they were free/trash" if someone stops you. and if you have any moral issues with stealling fromwalmart/lowes/home depot, just remember that they are the biggest theives of all.

I notice the bottoms of these marthas aren't covered. Would one have a problem with dampness around it's base if using inside on carpet?

^^They come with a vinyl coated piece of cardboard which is supposed to sit up above the hanging rack, but I use it as a base. I then covered it w/a plastic painters tarp and made a few holes for added FAE and more importantly a place for the water to go. I did put a tray under it because of my carpet. I would honestly be more worried about the humidifier leaking - I bought a Vicks coolmist and even after taping and adding other hoses it still fucking leaks everywhere!
I use a wire rack shoe holder that cost $8 from target. I took a few shelves off and hung one w/wire. I certainly agree w/Roadkill though, those greenhouses are far superior as far as shelving, quality, etc..
I use two(2) coolmists, one with two hoses and one with one hose; and a cheap Walgreens Personal Ultrasonic sitting on the top shelf and hooked to a timer. I have it run for one hour every 4-5 hours. Works great!
Here is the light I use, it's an 18" 15 watt Super UV Reptile Light on a 12/12 timer.
Here is one of each of all the strains that will fill this baby out..
They are(from left to right): B+, Treasure Coast, Ecquador LC, Penis Envy, Treasure Coast again, and Burma.
Here is the B+(inoculated on 12/26):

So you just have that one light? Or is there one per level?
