Tralfamadorian/Human Relations
    #516505 -

Listen:
Light a candle for Billy Pilgrim tonight. The Tralfamadorians are going to bring him back from his captivity in their zoo, where he is forced to mate with supermodels, as most human males will be forced to do.

In 2076 the Tralfamadorians will unstick us all from time and take us to their home planet, where we will live in 4-dimensional bliss. The universe will appear as big long strands of spaghetti. Have you ever wondered why psychedelic drugs produce trails? Because your consciousness is expanding and you are seeing into the true fourth dimension.

Listen: Billy Pilgrim is real. I have not only read about him in Kurt Vonnegut's "Slaughterhouse-Five" (Tralfamadorian for "The **REAL** Bible") but I have had personal experience with him by imagining him. I also imagined what it would be like if I could see in four dimensions as the Tralfamadorians do. They assured me that they will come in the year 2076.

In 2076 we will all be unstuck in time and put into Tralfamadorian zoos. There, in luxurious captivity, we will be forced to mate with earth's most attractive women, for the amusement of the Tralfamadorians. They will treat us well, and will teach us the true nature of the fourth dimension.

Tonight, light a candle for Billy Pilgrim. He is our prophet. He will return in his unstuck form with the Tralfamadorians in 2076. Billy is a wise man. He read books by Kilgore Trout.

Kilgore Trout was a sci-fi writer who tried to tell people how mirrors are actually leaks into parallel realities. Ever wonder why when you look at yourself in the mirror while on psychedelic drugs you don't look the same? That's because your expanded mind sees that the mirror is actually a gateway to a different reality.

Any questions?

I suggest you all read the Bible ("Slaughterhouse-Five" by Kurt Vonnegut) to get acquanted with the background stuff. Any questions, just ask me.

Your saviour,
Kid.

I still have the mental scars from Breakfast of Champions. I should go and reread it as in retrospect it seems it was likely filled with psychedelic phantasms. Some people really get obsessed with Kurt V but I am not one of them.

there is actually a book published by kilgore trout called -venus on the half shell.
(i believe it was really written by phillip jose farmer)
its about a man who has eternal life and searches the universe for the answer to the question - why are we born only to suffer and die...mostly he goes to many planets and has bizarre sex with the residents, but he eventually finds god`s right hand man, the oldest being in the universe, an elephant sized cockroach who answers his question.
whats the answer? im not telling, you gotta find the book and read it yourself..it was published by pan in the 70`s.

I have never heard of Billy Pilgrim or The Tralfamadorians , do you have a refernece to a book or at leat maybe a few dozen websites that might have information about these individuals? Your message was rather vague about the subject....

Yeah, if you read my post you'd know that the authoritative source for information would be Kurt Vonnegut's (nonfiction) "Slaughterhouse-Five". It tells the tale of Billy Pilgrim and the Tralfamadorians.

Websites? No. Any websites put up as nonfiction about Billy or the Tralfamadorians have been shut down by the International Government.

Hm, what a shame, one source of information just doesn't coerce me into believing that this 'billy pilgrim' person even exists... what evidence do you have of his existence? I mean, scientifcally speaking, the opinion of one single person is not scientific evidence... maybe if you had 20-30 websites written by various authors to back up your claims, I might start to believe you.... too bad none of those websites exist... that must be because it's really the truth that is being covered up, correct? Not because it is a work of fiction... I mean, that would explain that many many many various websites exist dealing with such subjects as 'the 12th planet' and 'extra-terrestrials', becuase there is nothing for the government to cover up, becuase nothing like that exists... that international government just gets craftier by the day.... anyway, sorry for the sarcastic post... i'm drunk as fuck and feel like being a prick... peace!

I've only seen the movie. But the american general (i think he's a general, not sure though) in the powder blue uniform with the stars and stripes on it and a swastika arm band(with the whole room full of U.S. troops cheering his motivational oration) is an image that will stay with me forever.

/me winks at Shroomism

I wouldn't expect many sites, even on Vonnegut, to go into any detail about the Tralfamadorians. They're important to the plot and the theme of the book, and there's some erotic symbolism in them (they look like male genetalia), but all in all there's not that much information on them. They just tell Billy about what the universe looks like in four dimensions.

I think the most interesting concept was that they do not read in a linear fashion. They look at the group of representative symbols as a whole.

I'm still not conviced about the reality of this species... but it sounds like an interesting read, so I might do just that if I ever have the time.
