31-legged race on Japanese channel!

#5149574 - 01/07/06 03:02 AM (20 years, 9 months ago)

One of our cable channel airs Japanese programming. While flipping through tonite after supper there was the craziest show I've seen yet!

-------
Race: 30 Kids, 31 Legs
The rules are simple: 30 kids from the same school on one team with 29 specially designed ankle straps, 50 meters of wide open space, and a big mat to help them stop. Watch the drama unfold as children from all across Japan come together in an attempt to win the Japanese national title. But only one team can win!
------ (from the show description on the local station's site)

The team that lost cried and sobbed and it was pretty hard to watch those poor suffering kids. Seriously sad shit. The team that won also cried tears of joy. Man... it was nuts watchign those kids run like that!

The winning time was 9.32 seconds.
