Reason for deletion: I didn't post this, my account must have been hacked.  I only have interest in legal edibles like oyster mushrooms and cremini mushrooms.

Cold shocking will inhibit mycelium growth and induce fruiting. Id recommend it for any species such as PR and Maz even though it is not needed.

Myco,

My cat recently started with some PRs from a good friend of hers in Europe, and they look amazing and ripping through the rye grain, and there has also been some grain to grain trasfers using the PRs and it is also showing incredible growth and white/rhizmorphic growth. I do understand that my cat is a little worried about pinning, but she is not too worried about the casing, since the layer is of course, coir (this is actually the batch my cat was thinking about doing more tests with, which we discussed in the other post). unfortunately my cat does not live in area that straw is availible so she cannot confirm your point on straw, but knowing you, she doesn't think you are really wrong. When my cat does get the rye finished and cased I will let you know what results she has.
