Phish Phans Prepare Phor Potential Phall Phreak-out
    #5131105 -

"Dust off Granny?s ganja goo-ball recipe. Take that patchwork spinner-dress out of moth balls. Start cleaning your bongs. And fire up the VW bus. Because it looks like the boys from Vermont are coming back for a small fall run in 2006. The quinetessential jam band from Vermont formed in the mid-80?s, and after almost 20 years of building a wildly devotional fan base from almost-yearly touring, the group disbanded last summer. Each member had been involved in various musical side projects and had lost the passion to continue to awe Phish fans . They said they didn?t want to be playing the same songs for the next 20 years, and creative differences had the led the band to a fork in the road. Trey Anastasio wanted to go his own way, while apaprently a couple other members, most notably bassist Mike Gordon, wanted to cotinue. Well, after less than two years apart, it seems the group has decided they miss each other and their music too much.

Word has leaked on the internet that the boys are planning a 10-show mini-tour next fall, beginning October 21st in Boston and concluding on Halloween in Montreal, Canada. We are not sure as to the veracity of this information, but the buzz on the net is growing. And we have received a copy of a fax from Monterey Peninsula Artists to an undisclosed recipient with the potential dates. Check it out and decide for yourself whether it be true. We?ll be in the backyard working on our footbag techinique."

Trey spent all his money on drugs. The only way he can pay back his dealers is by getting the old band back together.

maybe i'll get to hear divided sky on LSD after all! Keep us posted, I want to be in line the day tix go on sale for this, if it actually happens.

I'm wary though, as I heard a lot of similar rumors pertaining to Pink Floyd... then again, they did play live 8.

I try not to begin to believe any rumors like this but I believe I read in an interview with Trey that him and the rest rest of Phish have been playing a lot in the barn and have been really enjoying doing so. Only time will tell. They really need to write some new good songs though if they ever get back together. Their last album was very blah.

Yeah I heard the Coventry show and it was sloppy as hell. I think Trey was drunk or something.
