some dude had a private party with 40 people. we made 1,000 pieces of sushi.. 500 something pieces of nigiri and 70 rolls.. these people didn't even eat half of it.. they all had like one plate, a few had two or three.. lame. So there's like 500 pieces of sushi sitting there after they leave.. and my boss said go nuts.. so I called my friends to come pick it up and it fed the entire party of 50+ people they had at their house. right now I am so stuffed full of poke tuna and yellowtail and unagi that I can barely move to pack this bowl.. but I think I will manage.

I know that one. We have private parties for big high rollers all the time, and they never eat all their food. Some one the most wanted doctors/surgeons in the country...pretty awesome. Some of the stories they have.

Anyway I always end up with alot of the food, all of it very good.

Its the story of my life.

wow thats a lot of fish. yum

I had sushi twice this week, since the cafeteria is closed for the holidays I had to eat out. I totally like sushi, it justs costs too much to have all the time.

God, don't I know it. Sushi is like cocaine; it costs a lot of money, it disappears quickly, and you immediately crave more.

I would live off of the stuff if I could afford a $2000 a month food bill.

Amazing how Chef's take care of each other . Our Sushi Chef comes into out establishment to eat , we go in there . One hand washes the other , lol . Love bartering food . Funny though , it's a Japenese restaurant and when my Hubby cooks for them , they want his Kung Pow chickem . Say's it's the best they have ever had .

It can also be fairly simple and inexpensive to make yourself. Though im sure my rolls pale in comparison to Shrooms bar.

Not really . Considering sashimi grade tuna is around $20 a pound .

A California roll is only $5 . Not worth the hassle to deal with . Sushi is expensive , going out for it , or making it yourself .

Our california rolls are 3.50.. we got the hook up. Only the best ingredients. Uni is $8 for two pieces of nigiri though. I still can't believe people eat that shit by the tray ($80).. I still wont eat one piece when offered it for free. Fuck some slimy yellow sea urchin ovaries that tastes just like it looks.
