I read a small chunk of it and just decided I couldn't read anymore. I think I probably didn't like it because I had certain expectations when I bought it, that weren't really satasfied. I can see how people would like it though, the writing style is fucked up, but unique in a way.

Go Ask Alice... now that was an entertaining anti-drug book, despite how horribly exaggerated it all was. I mean, girl gets dosed with acid at a party and a year later is a homeless addict surviving through prostitution...

I had no idea it was in the oprah book club until I read that in this thread... My book says nothing about that on it.

mine doesnt either.... and im reluctant to read this because how the hell do you wake up in a plane with 4 teeth knocked out, a broken nose, and a HOLE in your cheek... wouldnt anyone say anything??? id think if someone came in bleeding profusley from their face i would help them... how would you even talk to someone about getting a plane ticket in the first place...

books sucks... i might quit reading it.... got a good book coming in the mail.

don't waste your time if you have other books you know are worth reading.

it is a bit thought provoking but many times (at least for me) in a negative way.

just a story about a junkie with mental problems and how he overcomes serious addictions...

once I read the part he was shitting blood i had enough.
