I believe posting PMs is against the rules. I also fail to see how a message like that poses any threat to the shroomery.

Correct on both counts, but I just want to point out that this is not the first time AT ALL that a user has encountered OHSBrave06 advertising his forums and reporting that they felt it was a bit spammish.

I'm gonna edit the PM, as we shouldnt be posting them, it would be enough to PM an admin about the issue.

I like to see others building up their own site, promoting it even, just not done 'stealthly' :smile:

Yeah there's no problem when someone is building their own mushroom-oriented community...I don't see any reason for anyone to think it's a threat. it just sucks when it's shoved in your face.

In my long experience new mushroom communities often distinguish themselves by having a lot of anti-shroomery posts... Yet they try to get shroomerites over to their own website :smile:

i did the numbers on views and market shares form the shroomery to psilocyborg, they have perhaps shared, not stolen at most a .02% of our "market" which amounts to 2 some million hits a day.

I guess that isn't really a threat (considering other shroom based websites I've been to, suck).....but to me, sending pm's like that is the same as a non-shroomery vendor sending pm's to users trying to get business.  I just don't think it is right.

I also agree with Thor:  "often distinguish themselves by having a lot of anti-shroomery posts".

I have seen that quite often.

Although it's not a big threat...I still don't think it should be allowed, especially if it is spamish.

He sent me a link a few months ago. He has also posted multiple threads in the pub spamming his forum, as well as a link in his signature. IMO he is definitely borderline spamming. One post shouldn't constitute as spam, however what about the mass PMs and posts??

As for it being a threat... has anybody else actually read any of the posts? They are laughable at best. The Shroomery should refer all underage posters that are banned here to head over there. :lol:
