I remember the classic example of the one chick who had been posting in OTD for a couple years then all of a sudden a "happy 18th birthday *****!!!" thread popped up.


She didn't get disciplined or banned for the 2 years of underage posting because she was popular, because she was a chick, and because:

I'm telling you, it's a "keep your fucking mouth shut if you're underage" situation here. as long as you don't tell, the shroomery is happy.

I know that, but it was so blantant that she HAD BEEN posting here for TWO YEARS while underage.

Once she turned 18 she was like YAY I'm 18 now I'm finally allowed to be here!!

Just funny to me that she could flaunt it that she had been breaking the rules here for so long, yet no-one seemed to give a fuck.

Any other time someone is under 18 you get threads like this trying to get them banned.

Right of course, but since this person was of age, the statute of limitations gas passed if you will. It is funny, but they only ban you until you are 18.

obviously this tells us that they have nothing personal against underage people, but simply must protect the community from bullshit government scrutiny/treatment over the issue of minors.

Believe it or not the 18+ policy wasn't instated untill a year or two ago. Depending on how long ago that was, she may not have been breaking any rules.
