Does the pub have any knowledgeable gardeners

Help me out here
By my means and manner provided to me, I can grow whatever( legal) herb or vegetable in about an area of fifty by fifty feet.

What plants and herbs have a real market to dealers and on ebay. What new plants have a high market value?
I need to know now so I can invest what I need to in seeds and supplies to make it happen in the spring.

My ideas thus far have been
Growing wormwood and anise for absinthe,
growing echinecha for roots and flowers,
growing ginseng for roots,
growing other ethnobotanical for ebay/dealers.



As far as vegetables go, how is the market in growing your own peppers and selling specialty sauce?

I NEED SOME IDEAS.

I dunno - maybe find out what high-value items sell at health food stores/organic groceries and grow that. I'm sure they're always looking for fresh produce......

i have seen salvia plants go for upwards of $50 at the beginning of the shiping season (when your plants wont die from the cold in transit) i was groning those, i had aobout 100 of them till they got killed....
for shame'

live HWBR would bring a pretty penny too as i have never seen it, you woulid probably ocntroll the market on that one.

True.
I am also starting a market in live yoppo trees. Trying to find viable seeds is hard enough, and I've enver seen trees for sale. THe cactus market is pretty good but I can't get into cactus AND plants. I will also try and sell the seeds from my nicotina rustica, wormwood, salvia officinalis, blue hyyssop, and nasturtium. Every little bit counts.
I hope my ginseng plants come up, I have about 150 seeds planted in the woods near my house. It takes 5 years for those but it's about $250 a pound on the mature roots..
And they self seed after two-three years
