WTF people.
seriously.
High school is a slight step up from lying in a hammock sipping pina coladas... and most of college IS lying in a hammock sipping pina coladas.

I really think this issue is a good guage for why so many young people are having such a difficult time becoming productive members of society.
If they really think high school and college is "stressful", and hard...jeez. I hate to sound like your parents, but I just see so many people talking about how difficult school is.
School is fun... enjoy it while it lasts.
All of my friends are still in college. I get calls from all of them asking "yo dude, whatcha doin for spring break?.... oh yeah, you havent been in college for 3 years...sorry."

Im sure when Im 30 or 40, ill look back and tell myself how much of a pussy i was for thinking my current life/job is stressful.

School really isn't that hard...depending on your major, that is..

it's hard if you don't go to class and miss tests (this = me two years ago :wink: )

Depends on your situation i go to school 16 credits per semester and work about 50 hours a week, so school does get intense at times...due to lack of time

I went to Full Sail... there were days i was at school from 5am on saturday til 1 am on sunday. We had atleast 8 solid hours of school every day, often 12, and the school ran 24/7 in 4 hour intervals.
Even then! I had a blast. While at times, I thought it was difficult and stressful, i now wish i could go back to a schedule of ease like that...

Yes... but not because of Full (of shit) Sail.

In fact, once i stopped putting it on my resumes I started getting better jobs.
But that was for recording engineering. I do live sound now. much more money, much more fun.

School was a piece of cake.  I never read anything, studied only the night before midterms and finals, wrote essays the night before they were due and ended up with a 3.5 GPA.  College was easier than highschool for me.

Though I am smart so that definitely helped out:tongue:.

High School is more of an inconvenience than a real problem, I do very moderate work and have a 3.0. A 3.0 isnt harvard quality by any means, but if my GPA was scaled the same as a public school I would have a 3.8

My biggest motivation for getting out of highschool is that i know college is going to be easier, mainly because i've allready taken %80 of the classes.

I was speaking for myself. I felt I needed to because I made a thread today about not being able to care about the work I need to do. I never said it should be easy for everyone else

My major is not hard in my opinion because its Broadcast Telecommunications and Mass media and I can watch tv and study it. but getting a job sure will be hard.

But don't go knocking my school, temple has a FANTASTIC program, as easy as it may be, its only because im bombarded by what I'm studying in and out of class.

Clearly you folks are overgeneralizing. You guys must be majors in liberal arts or something because majoring in Computer Engineering here is fucking tough. The hardest part for me is Trig. Not only because Trig is a difficult concept, but because my teacher totally sucks. There are so many variables that could make school easy or difficult and you guys are selectively leaving out the ones that make it hard. Examples: Bad teachers, HARD teachers (yes believe it or not, they do exist), and HARD courses (these also exist)

Yeah Slipnot... I think it's all in what school you attend and what your major is. Right now I'm at a shitty university while majoring in fine arts and earth science. I find school to be a breeze, only because of the standards of my school. I swear, it feels like high school part two. People in 300 level classes are bitching about research papers... what the fuck? The sad thing is the teachers actually fold under the pressure of the students. Unfortunately I am poor and on scholarship, so I have to make due with the situation. Once in a while I'm lucky enough to get a proffesor that wont put up with the bullshit. College should be hard.

In any case, college can be hard as fuck... or rediculously easy!

teachers make all the difference in the world. Actually having professors that have real world experience in their field is so much better than having some stroke that only reads books on his subject matter.
