so from what i hear, peruvian torch or just regular san pedro is commonly sold at major lawn and garden chains, even some home depots and lowes. Ive been looking now for about 2 weeks and every store i go to has a small section of small cactus but they never label them. I really dont want to order them off the internet unless i absolutely have to, anyone have this problem in there area? I asked an employee at home depot, calling it by the scientific name and he just looked at me like i was crazy. for some reason i just feel like if i ask then they will know why i want it and refuse to sell it to me. is that just crazy thinking?

Nah, you could just say that you collect cacti.
Probably your best bet would be to either phone stores that actually specialize in gardening or rare plants/cacti, stuff like that, and asking for the specific cacti that you want. Or you could learn how to ID them and just browse the stores until you find something.
Or you could just order them off the net.

how much is a common price for these cactus. if anyone has purchased them from a store? I saw some small ones on the internet for 8 bucks a piece. pervuvian torch. about 5 inches high, but told that they grow pretty fast. Would that be a better deal then home depot could offer?

awesome. doesnt seem that bad if they have a decent amount of mesc. by weight. lets say im planning a first time mesc trip for two people. would the extraction of said cactus be enough or should i buy two...or three. Because ive also heard that it varies heavily from cactus to cactus?

don't listen to me because i'm just basing it off what other people have said, but i'd say 2 or 3.
12 inches is a medium/light dose, but probably not heavy tripping.
anyway does anyone have a link on how to ID these cacti? I'd love to have a legal source of.... cactus.... from home depot.

Dude erowid has some pics, I would guess looking at the characteristics in the length of the needles and the color as well. Small characteristics are a good form of identifying the cactus. I have a place where I can grab 30g of dreid peruvian torch for $30cad That would be considered heavy tripping...
If anyone is ever in the Vancouver area PM me, I'll come and show you Plus if you're thinking of robbing me, it won't work, I'm 6'4" 2nd deg. Shorin Ryu I'll seriously kick your ass

Or it could be considered threshold.

serious? I'll take your word for it... Haven't pushed myself lately on anything... too much stress with school and many doubts running through my mind... But first time trying it was last summer and off 30 grams, for me was something totally new... Definately something powerfull and full of color. I thought 30 grams were to be considered a solid trip.
SO whats the highest dose recommended?
