nobody here has even heard of him  :frown: - they're mostly Americans here.

George was a legend - brilliant footballer, drinker and ladies' man. Liver failure (2nd liver) at 59 isn't such a bad way to go when you choose that lifestyle.

I know who he is. Well ok, only because I read about it in the paper this morning.

he's the most famous footballer in England bar none. everyone under 60 has heard of David Beckham, but everybody under the age of 110 has heard of Bestie. He was the first football superstar.

George Best was the best player in the country in the late 60's, winning everything with Manchester United and having a rock 'n ' roll lifestyle that made him 'The 5th Beatle' at a time when the world was discovering drugs and psychedelia. the whole UK is reeling. every single saturday afternoon match in the country is gonna have a 1 minute silence before kickoff. That's about 1500 GMT if anyone wants to follow it with me.

His heyday occurred during the "swinging sixties", and, with his good looks, he brought a pop star image to the game for the first time.

But the accompanying champagne and playboy lifestyle degenerated into alcoholism, bankruptcy, a prison sentence and, eventually, a liver transplant.

he was one of us, a talented hedonist :heartpump:

Are you kidding me? I don't see what's so enjoyable about 25 years of vicious alcoholism. Vomitting, liver transplants, etc.

unfortunately his son Calum seems to be a bit of a twat, though he shags all the famous society slags and is always in the papers.

why do you put those snaps in a combined shot? - it means i can't copy them individually. i want the checkerboard shotglass pic. anyone ever played one of those?

you have MS paint on your computer, make use of it, as for the game, all you need is a suitable chess board and 32 shots of liquor, 16 dark, 16 light.
