I know stereotypically us shroomers are the low end of life.. drug users, systematically declined, sell mushrooms for survival....this what I gather from our society. Is this true? I know I went to college, very successful in my trade, and take part in this world(pay taxes and shit) just like anyone else. How bout all you out there?

Don't believe the hype
of course it's not true, fuck.,thats like saying all killers are low life scum that smell of feces and do drugs(which is so very obviously not the case)....
i work my ass off ,pay all my bills...on time.,And save my money for the things that matter to me(more than trivial shit like mushrooms)...
that goes for many in this 'community'

The few people whom I actively know fit into this category of users (and I'm quite sure many other people I interact with, I do not know that they are users, which sort of goes against your thought) aren't like that at all. They're nice, fun-loving, smart, enjoyable people who value education (in all its forms) and have a decent work ethic.
I've known quite a few more non-users that are asshole lowlifes.

indeed, i know a lot more non-experienced people who are utter ass-hole scum of the earth than any drug-user i know.
i consider my lifestyle to be a journey of personal enlightenment and strengthening. im an athlete, goin to school for mechanical engineering, i read, and i like to know my body. Drugs and drug-use are only a small part of that. nobody would EVER guess that i have done drugs, due to those stereotypes. I think that is a good thing, however, as i am not targeted in any way for that kind of suspicion.

'Eh... stereotypes happen and sometimes they fit. Most of my friends fit the lazy stoner/doser stereotype - my good friend has been at university a year longer than me and i have more credits than him (i'm a junior).
Me personally, i smoke bud every day, haven't tripped in a while due to a string of bad ones ... but i go to university on a $1,500/semester academic scholarship, am double-majoring in Business Management and Economics, where i maintain a 3.8gpa.
Looking at all that most people would picture a preppy mommys boy or something along those lines - but i fit the typical stoner stereotypes, which I dont mind because when people underestimate me i just have so much fun disproving their preconcieved notions

Meh, just like with almost anything else, stereotypes are bogus. Of course some shroomerites are probably the lowest of the low lifes but it's expected because of the huge community that it is. I know the people on this board are generally good people with good hearts. Everyone has their own idiosyncrisies, some are just more annoying than others.
In real life most of my uncle's smoke weed on a daily basis. They all hold steady jobs except one that retired early. One's a fire fighter and damn good at it. It kind-of sucks that if the public found out he smoked weed all the time he would almost certainly go from being a "hero" to a "Low life".
Most of my family were all drug addicts at one point or another including both my parents. They're the best parents I could have asked for. My mom and I bump heads some times, but I can always see the general concern in her heart after I have time to cool off.
Right now I'm in my senior year of college getting my B.S. in business. I've done a lot of drugs starting at my sophmore year of high school (weed, coke, E, heroin once on accident, vikes, percs, valiums, mushies, DXM, adderall, and some other i forgot). I'm a generally nicer person because of mushrooms. I always wanted to fight before. Now i've got a greater love for people around me. I still like to fight, but it's more for the sport and I keep it in the ring.
I'm also an avid auto mechanic and will probably open my own shop once I get out of college. So no, I don't fit the typical Above the Influence commercial.

I suppose a few years ago I was a bit of a lowlife. Drugs, alcohol, clubbing and graffiti. That was all I did. It got to the point when everything just got fucked beyond belief. Which was when I moved to a remote part of my country, very remote, then got a job. For the last couple years now I've been leading a respectable life, on a salary, stickin a relationship, mostly looking after myself. I still want it all back again, but when I move back to the city it will be in moderation.

I hold down a fairly good job, own my own flat, have a wife with a baby on the way, have plenty of savings, am not in debt, have plenty of hobbies, am clean and tidy, I dress smart casual, have short cropped hair (no 2 all over), have no facial hair and get on well with most people from all walks of life.
I also take a 5g Shroom trip once a month. Have done for the past three years.
Stereotypes are bull-poop!
It's what makes the Shroomery so interesting - there are so many different types of people.

There are hippies and then there are people who participate in society who use drugs. Surprisingly (to some), most of the shroomerites that I have met have been the latter rather than the former.
