Completely dark growth chamer

Hey , my shroom goblins(Gobble) chamber , is now in complete darkness. The 2 mini hand flour's he was using suspeneded from the ceiling burnt out due to humidity he thinks and fell and impacted the 4 cakes it landed on :( his question is how nessicarry is light to the pin/growth cycle?
theres noted steady growht in the dark and about every 3 days they get light from checking , what are your thoughts?
would having a light result in a bettter pin set ?
If so hes gonna try fixing the shorted out lights. lemme know what you think , thx , Peace

Just get clear white...
mushrooms don't just like "blue" light, they like a spectrum of light that just appears blue to our eyes, if you paint a light bulb blu you will get the same results as with a normal white bulb.
a xmas chain of lights is a great idea, go for it.

maybe you can get the ones with all the different settings (chase, strobe, etc....) and see if light movememnt has any effect on direction....but i would stick with the clear over the colored.

in slightly more serious thought, just get the ones that come nicely packed in those little plastic holders, just plug it in and leave it the holder so you dont have a mess, and then just place it or hang or something over your terrerium. or you can go and just string them all along your ceiling and leave them on....

Xmas lights are cheap anyways, have fun with it man, explore your artistic side...

they would work great- give off no heat. i tried that in a fruiting chamber once but my casings got contaminated before fruiting and now have my terrarium right out in my room not in the closet.

wouldnt giveing the light a colored filter of the blue spectrum add to a solid spectrum of like being produced?
Read somewhere along the path the hi spectrum of blu gorw lamps do something to the psi/lvls or increase of mature fruit body speed or something , is this true?
