I'm planning on hiking the Appalachian Trail....

I'm planning to hike the Appalachian Trail in March. For those of you who don't know, this is 2200 mile hiking trail that goes from Mt. Springer, GA (near Atlanta) to Katahdin, ME. The hike takes anywhere from 4-6 months to complete in one go (called Thru-Hiking). I'm planning on thru-hiking starting from GA in March or April and finishing at ME in August or September.

Now that I'm done with background info:

I smoke marijuana most everyday and I trip on shrooms around once every month. These activites are a huge part of my spiritual and mental well-being. The reason I'm planning to do this hike is essentially to get my shit together in my mind and in my spirit. But the question is: do I need to take marijuana or shrooms to get my shit together in my mind and spirit? Maybe just shrooms? Maybe just Mj? Maybe neither?

I'm thinking that I won't need either, but I'd like some others' insights.

I have to try this one day! Take a moderate amount with you, but try and try and wait for the perfect moment to dose. Better to have it there and say 'Fuck It lets not', than to leave it behind and feel dumb later.

I think if you smoke everyday you could take a break and feel what nature and solitude has to offer you in your natural state. Then I would take a couple of big doses of shrooms and get into it at some point. Just my 2 cents. Have fun. No matter what you take it will be great. Or a big tragedy we can read about in the papers. :grin:

If you're doing the entire AT, maybe you should bring along some weed, and maybe a few mushies too, for that "perfect time"! Or at least include a few grams of both in a few of the "care packages" you send your self....  :laugh:
