Dosage Calculator Question

Have any of you tried the dosage calculator here at the Shroomery? Do you find it to be fairly accurate? If not, what dosage do you recomend for a level 3 trip using either Amazonians or Treasure Coast? ( Dried )

if your not on maoi's id say you should take 3-3.5 grams. thats just my opinion. youll probably experiance a strong level 3 trip, as long as the mushrooms are good.

I usually go up a level every gram I take. 1g=level 1 2g=level 2 etc.

Well, i ve really only tripped good three times, but i have to say the hardest was my first. i ate 2.5 grams and had insane visuals tied in with the sparatic brain traffic goin a million miles an hour. so i would guess at least three grams.

i would say,....take 21 grams of cubensis(dried). this will make you feel right at home with the entire universe. :)

i ate 5 average sized (fresh) psilocybe cubensis. nice level three, right on the dot

I ate 12g once and totally lost myself.. i heard a voice telling me "*john* you really did it this time", and I had my first OBE (briefly). Oddly enough, ever since then, all i need is 2 grams and I am waaay on the other side.

There are several factors that contribute to how hard you trip: 1.your tolerance for drugs 2. the environmental conditions that the mushrooms were grown in 3. HOw the mushrooms were dried 4. How old the mushrooms are 5. the strain 6. the amount of food you've consumed before trippin.
If you can answer these questions, then a pretty accurate dosage can be made, but without this information, the calculator is just wingin it.
For example, If the mushrooms were grown at 70-72 degrees F and dried at room temperature in a dessicant, such as calcium chloride, are the treasure coast strain, are only a week or two old, you have a moderate to low tolerance for drugs, and you ate a decent sized meal two hours before take off, I'd suggest no more than 2.5 grams dried. Under the same conditions, If you have an average to high tolerance to drugs, I'd suggest the the typical 3.5 grams. If you have a high tolerance to drugs (and I mean high tolerance), try 4 grams.
Oh, and for those who claim to eat an ounce of shrooms at one time, you are either bad at estimating dried weight because you don't have a scale, are eating very old shrooms, or are just full of shit.
Hope this helps even though it's somewhat confusing.

Thanks to all who answered. Especially you Azure. They were grown indoors. Dried for two days on a fan then for a day on a wire grid over epsom salt. They are Treasure Coast, I have a fairly high tolerance, have tripped a couple other times in the past month, ate a few crackers. Took 7 very dry grams.
All I can say is HOLY SHIT!!!! It was the single best trip of my life, and I have tripped several times. (I'm 44) I have eaten more acid (when younger) than most people do in their lives. Started getting stomach cramps from the acid so switched to shrooms many years ago. I can honestly say I tripped hundreds of times, but last nights was the best.
