I would like to know approximately how many mushrooms it takes to have a decent trip; wet and dry (if there is a difference). Not gram measurements, mind you, but actual mushrooms, small, medium, and large.

you cant just assume a certain amount of mushrooms will make you gain a certain level of trip. you have to weigh it out, you can have two mushrooms that look exactly the same but one could be heavier than the other. and who's to say what "small" "medium" and "large" is? you have to weigh it out

If you dont have a scale or cant borrow one stuffed 00 gellcaps should weigh .5 grams just grind your dry shrooms up and get a pretty good guess that way.

dont do 4-65 grams that is way to much especially if ths is your first mush trip i would say 2-3 grams and there some people who will say to take less than that even
i can believe its not butter but why would you do that

i dunno, id take the 4-5 (dry), maybe even 6 (dry). in all my experiences any less then that just borring, im glad i didnt follow everyones advice on my first time and took a full 7g (dry) - of course i did eat a few (4 or 5 fresh aborts (5 - 10g (wet)) to make sure i wouldnt have any type of harmefull reactions)

A handfull will do. It will do nicely. Fresh or dried. Just scoop up a handful and stick in your mouth chew and swallow. It might be hard to do with dry ones (they taste bad and get caught in your throat.) so just use fresh ones. I'd say 8 shrooms with a cap diameter of atleast 2inches, and a stem length of 6 inches.

not gram measurements? there's no other way. but if i was to guess (which i shouldn't) if you grew your own just start out with two or three dried mushrooms that are like 3-4 inches tall. but it all varies according to the mushies themselves - so don't take my advice.... oh, but for all you people rec'in 6 grams! crazy - my first trip i just split an eigth with a friend and i had a very fun time. if you are familiar with psychedelics though, you could do 1/8 by yourself and i'm sure it'd be a blast - shit i wish i had an eigth !

i have A long history with psychdelics dmt, 5meo-dmt,lsd,mescalin,2-cb,mushrooms....salvia and um maybe some more :)
i have a low tolerence i know but anything over an 8th and im wondering through other dimensions 1 8th is fine for me :) 125 pounds

My first trip, I had $35 bag containing 4-6 small to medium size fresh P. Cubensis, lost 2 enitre shrooms becuase I left the bag in my jacket pocket for 4 hours (little white maggots). I know, I didn't know what I was doing. Anyway, I broke apart and air dried remaining shrooms for an hour. Then I put the little pieces on a cookie sheet in the oven for about 5 mins on low heat. 4 people consumed the 4 shrooms with me eating the most. I tripped strong level 3, and the three others ranged from level 2 to level 3 depending on how much they'd consumed.
Use the dosage calculator in the Dose section of the shroomery homepage, assuming you will be eating P. Cubensis. Everyone reacts differently to different drugs, start slow. I definitely was beyond where I wanted to be at a level three, for my first time. It is also important to remember that the setting and the people your with, or lack of, will be a factor.

if you have a 12" ruler that is symetrical (sp) you can make a makeshift balance based on the fact that:
1 a us nickle weighs 5g
2. a quarter weighs 5.7g
3. a penny weighs 3.0 grams
4 a dime weighs 2.2 g
just balance the ruler first then add coin to one end then shrooms to other.
i did this with a qp of mj and split it up verry accuratly into 1/2 ozs
