has anyone ordered from them? and if so, how did everything go? i plan on ordering a couple syringes here in a couple days, the stuff is pretty cheap and you get a free syringe with every order, i was just wondering the quality.

SporesDirect is great. I received my order from them very quickly and also got a free syringe of blue meanies cubensis which is in the incubator colonizing now =).

I love seeing someone like Spore Direct being a sponsor with their incredibly low prices. At the same time it makes me feel sorry for guys like Workman who puts so much professionalism and quality into their product (www.sporeworks.com). I hate to see businesses like Spore Works undercuted, but lets face it. Its the way of life, competition. I'm sure this man will inspire other company's to lower their prices even if it costs them the pride of their professionalism.

sigh, I love and hate sporesdirect.com. Professionalism of this kind should not be sold for so cheap, but......everyone needs to feed their family.

uh huh...I agree

I don't buy spores from anyone.
I never have and never will.

But...I buy other products from Sporeworks and Myco Supply...and have bought products from a few of the Vendors of the past that are no longer here.
I support them for helping to support the Shroomery.

There is no doubt that Workman has done alot for mycology and he is very professional...my hats off to him.
I enjoy his work and respect him very much.

But I see someone like John Allen for example...a person that traveled all over the world and has brought back samples of many species of mushrooms and strains of mushrooms...and is smart enough to teach at a University...and he is barely making it month to month...just to get by.
That bothers me...that really bothers me alot.
His love for the mushroom is 2nd to none...and its his life...he calls them his children...and in a sense they are.
I'm lucky enough to know him personally...I named the Allen Strain after him.
And if the Spore Vendors had any sense of decency they would send him a few bucks every month for at least the Allen strain of Cubensis.

John Allen is to magic mushrooms...what Timothy Leary was to Acid.

Just my opinion mind you.

Actually it was I who named the Allen strain in honor of him and I called you to ask John if he would mind if I attached his name to it.

We were both pleased when he accepted.

In any case, the Allen strain is still a largely unheralded strain....it shouldn't be though.

Depends, when you lower prices that is not perse a lower quality. Can mean lower profit also. And all modern companies every day look at the costs. With better and better efficiency you still can compete with the same quality and profit.

I think its good that there is a pricefighter here now. They show actually just that, quality dont need to be expensive.

Sporesdirect is absolutely horrible. They still haven't delivered my spores weeks after I ordered them. They also do not respond to emails.

Well here is something that we can agree on Road. MJ is by far the most dedicated, selfless person that I have come across yet in the hobby and he needs to be commended for his work.
