Discarding Contam Jars

My PF jars are nearly complete and ready for birthing. However, I've noticed a bluish green spot about the width of a pencil eraser about an inch below the dry verm layer.

Assuming that it is contaminated should I go ahead and abort this jar from my incubator?

depends on wether its just bruising or not.

Just separate it from the rest of the jars, if it grows, its a contam, if not, you should be good to go.

i dunno i have had bulk contaim on ma after mixing cowshit straw...a few weeks into the grow it contaim i still fruit it got a few caps form it..

Doubtful it's bruising since the cake is still in the jar, I'd let that one sit awhile longer and go ahead and birth the rest when ready. Contams are easy to differentiate from bruising as bruising is pretty consistant in color and contams often leave rings as they colonize. :wink: Rule of thumb if in doubt throw out!  Or at least separate :wink: GL

you should be fine, its more then likely bruising.

if your that worried, take a fork and just scrape it out.
it might return and it might not.

but its worked in the past for my friend.
