Redo, this time, no boiling, only distilled acidified water, get some PH strips so you can be sure what the PH is, and decant and reduce till the total volume is around a cup, or however much you can drink. Im sure you didnt drink the whole liter either.

Im sure it wouldnt have been mentioned as being psychoactive unless it actually was to some degree.

Sorry forgot to mention I squeezed 2 limes into the mixture before boiling.

No I drank the whole thing over about 10 minutes. It is actually quite fragrant with only slightly bitter taste. The problem is I had to bug a friend of mine just to get those leaves sent to me (and it was a lot, 118 grams is a lot for a very low moisture content leaf). I might try again next year, that is about the best time to pick them I think, just before the first freeze.
