4 pod tea, the darkest i ever did see.

so i took these four pods i bought at the mall.

ground to flour, stems and all.
added rice vinnigar, brought water to boil
pured over top let steep and squeezed with tea press.
added more hot water steeped, repeated and combined the liquid.

theres no percipitate, and its too dark to see through. i ate a grapefruit an hour ago i will add updates later. :smile:
also its sweet and doesn't seem to need further sweetening or flavour mask.its good like a good tea.

wow this is tasty. it still tastes like poppy tea, but theres no bitterness. and thanks to my new press im not choking down mud, grit and floaties.

just easy teasy poppy tea.

That's a beautiful thing, Mitchnast- I can't believe you get dried pods at the mall.  I've tried buying these everywhere but I'm gonna get these to grow this year anyfuckngway...Goddamn it... :blah:

well when i bought them i asked if they had any damaged ones, or ones without stems for cheap she said no hey already threw them all out. i was like WHAT???
she said she diddnt think they would sell i told her " you diddnt count on johnny poppyseed" and i zipped open my fanny pack and showed her my seed piles for cosmopolitan planting.
i just finished drinking the tea i drank it slow, over about an hour and a half. im feeling very little.
probably not going to have much effect, but ive felt this way before and got surprised, we shall see.

yeah, it was pretty weak tho. i mean i felt it, but it was only sedative. and even so only slightly, faint itch. i also smoked some old homegrown from last summer and had a bit of cigar, even ate a whole grapefruit and a bottle of GF juice.
cant wait till harvest when i putty evrything that way i can get the right dose each time.
i alwways find it difficult to get a potent enough dosage. people are always saying its easy to OD or overwhelm yourself. i see that as rather difficult.
and i hardly ever do it so its not like i have tolerance.
maybe im just naturally tolerant, or maybe ive yet to get a good potent variety. best ive had was some i grew last year. looking forward to topping that tho because it was still quite short of nod.

It's funny how different the alkaloidal content can be from one batch to the next. I similarly would find it difficult to believe that for anyone who is not balls about the doseage OD'ing would be a problem often encountered. I would limit doseage and intake perhaps because of addiction potential if anything. Not for health concerns. I bought some seeds today- 80 days till nodds and counting...
