thoughts on eatting poppy pods
    #2861762 - 07/06/04 04:52 PM (12 years, 7 months ago)

could you instead of making poppy tea/puddy just powder the pods and put them in capsuls and swalow it?? i figured that way you would get all the good stuff from it and the extra fiber might help you out in the end (tea drinkers should know what that mean)

any thoughts or have done it's
thanks
peace

well, it would be quite some capsules. i'm not sure about digestive eficiency of the pods, but soluability in hot water is good, so it should work just fine.

i wonder what other substances might be in the pods that do not come out in a tea that you might end up with by eating them, but i wouldn't realy worry.

[safety note] if you decided to try it, you should watch your dosage as usual.

Probably a stupid question, but are P. Somniferum seeds psychoactive?

A few times I've made smoothies with 4-5 pods. I got higher than I normally would have, but also my stomach became a bit upset. IMO, tea is the better choice.

I've eaten up to twenty fresh small pods before, just blend them well either in a drink or in your mouth or otherwise they will take forever to kick in. The buzz lasts a LOT longer than tea.

If they are good pods you will need no more then 1

If they are some little garden pods  you will need more, but dont do something stupid like take 10 and then find out these pods are TO strong. :puke:

I recomend a small dose with grapefruit juice personally.

I remember making TEA with weak pods and then moving to strong ones, and I used 5 strong pods without thinking "hey these could be alot stonger then what I am used to"

Well..I got REALLY REALLY high, but since I was puking and laying on the floor it wasent so great. :nonono:

BE SMART, start small, and work your way up.

I think you should try tea first to see how strong your pods are, because when eaten they are stronger.

And next to making TEA eating them isnt so much better....besides TEA kicks in within a hour at most, usually 30 monuets for grandma :smirk:)
If you do eat them(or make tea), eat(or drink) a small ammount (1-2pods) with grapefruit juice.
(grapefruit jucie WILL increase the effects, quite well  )

Grapefruit juice + freshies + blender = yumster nodville.

I also read that the M content increases as the pods age / dry.. that was on Porg.. not sure if its true.

It is

I have seen what you are refering to.

You are right about the juice and bleder, but I thought he might be a  newbie and so,should try TEA first (safer)

Now that I think about it, grandma might keep one plant alive long enough to make a slushy  (she was planning on TEA)

but, Fresh pods and 2 grapefruits sounds great.

(the pods take so damn long to dry she will have fresh pods for at least a awhile, but that right off the stem freshness sounds yummy )

Just do it. Remember that after a week of nod you'll go through withdrawls. The max wasted days in a row should be no more than three with a week in between. Withdrawls are no fun. But then again, you might not plan on doping as often as chronic myself did.

I once took an amount of powdered (dried) pods that would have made a decent cup of tea, and instead mixed them with yoghurt and spooned it rapidly down my throat, then got really high for a looong time (about 36 hours)

I agree 3 a week is a good balance. however, be prepared to fall victom to addiction and start drinking it twice a day everyday for 3 years... it makes for a very sad and chaotic life style :frown:

Personllay I have walked to tightrope quite well.

But I think the best way to avoid problems is to only dose at MOST, once a week.

And I said I would NEVER use PT 2 days in a row ever......but it happened.

Define your limits early and stick to them, its all about control people.

Are you in ???? (control?)

(and listen to A'neglakya  )
