*NOTE ALL FLAMERS WHO JUST WANT TO POST THE HYDRA POD IS CRAP AND NOT WORTH THE MONEY, GO AWAY*
What im looking for here is a opinion from anyone that currently owns a hydrapod... please give a detailed summary of your experience with it, include pictures if you can.
Im looking for opinions on this because im giving though to buying it... is it worth the money? I mean I do have the time to take care of a non automated terranium... but ive read that the pod is automated and produces the best flushes possible..
Well anyways post whatever ya think is helpful
Thanks!

No, I need something that is not a part of myco-tek.
Not that I am saying that Mcman is not trustworthy, but when one goes about getting surveys, its best to try and strive for an unbiast environment. The shroomery can provide this, somewhat.

the only bad thing I"ve heard about the hydrapod is the price also.
Just my opinion, but I think you could build a couple automated setups for half the price of a hydrapod. If you don't wanna go through the hassle though, order one. They work and like dimitri said, the only bad things you ever really hear about it is the price.

Sounds like you want opinions but only positive ones. What if someone doesn't like it? You'll call their honest opinion a flame!

I have had very good success with the Hydrapod.I have always preferred to stay with the cake method,so the Hydrapod was an ideal choice for someone like me.I really prefer the Geo-Lite to perlite(so much easier to clean). Most people that buy one, generally end up buying another,so that should tell you something about customer satisfaction.Perhaps the best thing about the pod is the user support forum http//www.gimptroll.com/~hydrapod/cgi-bin/ikonboard/ikonboard.cgi where users can share ideas and helpful insights, with out fear of being ridiculed and flamed.I think it took a lot of balls for MycoTek to offer a place where complaints can be displayed for the whole public to see.Would any other company do this?

Maybe its still too early to see many pics of the pod in action, I saw some pics in the pod user forum but not that many...
The science is sound, there is no doubt that mycotek knows his stuff when it comes to design.
I think Syd just wants opinions and especially pictures from people who are not directly involved with the sale or promotion of the Hydro Pod....

Just so you guys know, I did set aside the 100th pod to give-away. I originally planned to do this if the pods turned out to be successful enough to sell 100 of them, then I promised that I would give it away here at the shroomery.
Well, I have been stalling and was intending to have a new year's eve/100th pod anniversary give-away at the end of the month.. but I wasn't sure if I should include the other OMC's or not. It seems like a lot of members here also share memberships at the other sites, so it may become too chaotic to do it that way.
Either way, I still plan to give the pod away to someone. If any of you guys have some advice about this, then I would surely consider it!
BTW, thanks a lot for your interest Syd!
