Sorry for asking "top secret information." I didn't know why you didn't have any pics of the insides; just that you didn't. In the past you have been glad to show the great designs and the innerworkings of your contraptions. In the past you seemed proud to explain your machines and how they work.
You should have labeled it the "mystery bucket" and you have to buy it to see the inside.
And actually McMan all of the time I'm here I am getting paid for it. It's my job.
So no pics of edibles and no pics of the inside. People should call me the information bum because I usually ask questions IE bumming information.
Do I remind you of that guy in "happy gillmore"-- JACKASS
But for the sake of Psilocybes I think BE should be dry weight/by dry weight. And cubes have a higher water% than agaricus; so that is a higher margin of error. Dry weight is exact!

Is there an exaust hole? If so where? Have you ever had problems with the cakes "wicking" up too much moisture from the geo-lite?

Man, I need to check out the vendor forum more often! Cool shit.
MC--I think the clay pellets are the same thing I use for a hydroponics setup, those things are EXPENSIVE!!! I imagine 5 gallons of those things must take up a chunk of the purchase price.
Skipping the casing run has its appeal, certainly.
I really love the R2-D2 look; fits just about anyone's living situation! Cleaning any disasters would also be simple, fill the bucket with bleach water, wash the lid.
So I also take it that one would need to supply a hygrometer to calibrate the timer?
Congrats, can't remember the last time I heard Workman respond to a product :)

Blasted! I thought I could get things from you by calling you a liar and a cheat! Then I ask questions to get things from you. But the one and only thing I desired from you ralph beat me to; and that was your most penetrated hole.

McMann thanks for the good info on gauging the humidity.
If I may ask a question on venting gasses in a sealed environment. This would pertain (I feel) to any type of sealed terrarium (non product specific) where an air pump is providing not only fresh air but also building up pressure in the sealed terrarium. At some point the pressure/air within the sealed environment will start looking for an exit. It will take the path of least resistance out, so placement of the exhaust/vent valve is not important in that respect. Placement MAY, however be very important in properly venting the CO2/O2 mix, versus mostly(?) CO2 (since CO2's heavyier and tends to sink). Do you feel just placing a regulated vent at the top is sufficient or would venting at the base of the sealed environment be more beneficial? Further, if you do place the vent low (which would be in proximity to the air pump/bubbler), wouldn't the fresh air most likely make a quick exit (path of least resistance) rather than properly mix with the old air in the sealed terrarium? Thankyou for your time.

Man, I've come across some unpleasant people in my time on this planet. You think I'd be used to it by now.
But every now and then I come across one who makes me sit up and shake my head.

Where in the world do I purchase that fantastic Hydro-pod growing chamber that I did 4 or 5 years ago? Mine went to a friend, and now I cannot find another anywhere, nor anything that compares to it. I loved that thing...so freakin' simple. those brown "little balls" (as I can't remember what they were really called) were great. I filled the bucket with water, checked the level now and again, and that was it...the cakes took care of themselves. Is there no other way to order one of those magnificent grow pods? Please...help direct me...everything thing else I see just looks like wayyy too much work and space consuming. I sincerely hope to hear from some of you fine folks. Sincerely Roan
-------------------- Man...I am at a lost here my friends...I'm in a position where I absolutely cannot grow anything without past so-called negative incidences coming back into play. I am a full-time graduate student, studying community health and psychology, and I've been feeling for sometime the need to reintroduce myself to my psychoactive spoor friends. I do not know who can help me. I live in a location that is very dry (Utah), and thus I am left alone. Do you have any ideas as to how an individual like myself might be introduced to such fine old friends again (that is, without actually having to leave the state)? I do miss them dearly...

McMan stopped making them and selling them.
The hydra-pod is not sold anymore.
There is a few sites selling knock offs of it though...if you look around you will find them...or someone might pm you a link.
I have seen a few original hydra-pods...sold on Ebay over the years.

There is a home made version called the PMP (poor mans pod)
