The idea of signing for mail isnt very apealing. However, it's a small price to pay if it's the best way of mailing viable spores.

Howdy Sporeworks;)
Nice option. Myco Supply uses UPS 99% of the time. Since the Sept. 11th attacks, the USPS has gotten very unorganized. It does stink that they don't ship to P.O. Boxes though:(

For those of you who don't know much about UPS, its actually a "more secure" way to ship products. Hmmmm how can I explain this in a brief way?

UPS is privately owned. And since the USPS is one of their biggest competitors, they are highly protective of their client base. Also, they insure items for free for up to $100.

Whats that mean? Well, if someone gets a bad syringe or print (which is VERY unlikely from Sporeworks:) then the insurance can cover it.

UPS also doesn't have Federally hired postal inspectors snooping around:) If the USPS wasn't a subsidary from the US gov't, they would have been put out of bussiness awhile ago by UPS. I've learned alot about UPS over the past few weeks since the idea of radiation mail has come up.

Cya Sporeworks:)

UPS has been known to work with the DEA in the past. Can anyone remeber the cross-country (USA) indoor grow room busts that resulted from UPS shipments from High Times advertisers? It was called "Operation Green Merchant" hundreds of customer's homes were raided based on a list of adresses obtained from UPS. Purchasers of hydros/lights and seeds were targeted. Hundreds were arested. It almost destroyed the pot market in Michigan for a year or so. This happened somewere around 1989-1991. A head could not buy a joint for $20.00! I mean NO ONE HAD WEED. And UPS had a major hand in that investigation.

Hmmm interesting. The last time I wanted to use UPS about a year ago, they wanted to look in all my packages to make sure they were "packed" properly. They literally wanted me to untape and open everything to look in them. They claimed it was to help prevent more packages from being damaged during shipping.

Personally I found it quite hilarious since I've had many packages delivered to me 1/2 destroyed by there lack of TLC.

This could be a local thing though. I have not gone back to see if they have changed their policy. I personally like USPS and FedEx.

I prefer USPS as long s there not radiating shit. FedEx is good if they have a means of shipping that dosent require a signature.

But, I would advoid useing UPS for the reason stated in my previous message. (Operation Green Merchant)

Fed Ex has always been my preferred method of shipment. They never gave me a problem, and they even come to my place to pick up my packages! IMO that is the best route

The ups where i live does the same thing. They'll even cut it open and look inside then tape it up for ya right at the counter before they'll take your money. I like usps and think the irratiating thing is mega hype. A dec 4 update on usps website says that only targeted mail is going to be irradiated. Meaning anything supsicous per their little mailing detailing what suspicous mail is (it was sent to everyone).

Nice psilocyber, I like your guys there. You and workman have been around for a long time and are very respected by my circle of psilo friends.

On the signing for packages that was mentioned. Im not sure if its the same elsewhere, but our UPS guys knock on the door and if nobody comes, they just leave it between the door. Just thought I would metion that cause I use UPS a lot.

Heres a little extra FedEx is and has been excellent for shipping and they are cheaper with plenty of options for the sender to choose from.

Also a side note I screwed up a guys zip code when I wrote it down on the package ex: 55072 was "his" and I wrote 55702 which is in a nother state and they still got it to him by checking out the city and zip code rather that just assuming it was correct so I found this to be awsome and send a shout out to FedEx

I have worked customer service for a mail order company in the past. It never cest to amaze me how impatient some customer's were. It could be Dec. 24 and customers would raise holly-hell 'cuz Fed Ex could not gurantee delvery in like 8 hours or some shit! My friends that work for a online shopping retailer have a few storys of customers that DEMANDED overnight delivery on Set. 12, 2001 in the USA!! (dont people EVER watch the news?)

So, I now have discovered my nitch in the marketplace. I mearly have to do a little experimenting with atom blasting. The key is the invention (that I have yet to invent). So, the next time somebody wants something delevered NOW, it's going to be like: "PLEASE FAX ME THAT STEREO NOW!"

Now that would be customer service..... Like "Yes sir, here is my credit card#.... please fax me 5000 tons of vermiculite. Thank you".

To bad the author of Star Trek didnt get involved in the mail delivery system. Things could be so much kewel-er.

haha
