Here's some updated pics of my Kratom plant. It lost a few leaves lately because I was unable to water it for a few days, but it seems to be recovering nicely. He's more than 3 feet tall now. I'm taking him inside to protect him from Hurricane Wilma. Here's some pics.

Thanks for all the positive replys. Hurricane Wilma has passed. Home is still without power, but at least I've got power where I am now. The Kratom plant made it through the storm and is doing fine. The next step is making some cuttings, but that hasn't been going too well so far. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I got an unrooted cutting from a (kind) shroomery member. Put it inside, to the side of a window (indirect sun) in potting soil, covered with a clear plastic pitcher. It took several weeks to root, but when it does, there's no mistaking it--plant takes off like crazy. It's now outside and gets full sun in the aft, but as you found out, gotta keep it watered. My first attempt at a cutting outside failed. For my second attempt, I broke off the tip far enough down, so that I could put two former leaf sites down in the soil with a couple of leaves on the end. The cutting I received had the leaves cut in half (like mj, you don't want too much action from the leaves until the plant roots).
Hope this helps.
