My plant died. The leaves are best when still fresh and sticky. If anyone has come across a nice source for a live plant, send me a pm.

Neat plant, interesting cultural background, but somewhat disappointing if you're planning to use it for anything other than an exotic ornamental plant. Its pretty mild as a drug, and probably won't satisfy many folks who read various lore claiming its some sort of opium/cocaine mix or whatever.

If you're looking for something to refill your crack stash, then yeah, you will be disappointed. I personally enjoy the stimulation from a cup of fresh kratom tea more than I do coffee or regular tea.
Maybe someone has been selling you old leaves?

Not likely, since it was from a non-commercial source. Kratom works, its just a very mild drug. Coffee or tea is a good comparison, or perhaps, a little kava flavored with coffee... it works, but if youre expecting opium or cocaine, its nothing compared to either.

I agree that it is a mild experience when consumed directly from the leaves. I wonder if the active ingredients are anywhere as easy to refine as cocaine is from coca leaves. Considering that Kratom grows into a huge tree, large quantities could be easily obtained.

Please don't post sources for stuff like this. We're in the process of having salvia scheduled because of our inability as a community to be discrete. Lets not repeat that mistake with kratom. Its not like its hard to find these things, lets not piss off any watching authorities by thumbing our noses at the authorities by turning these forums into blatant drug markets.
